How to Wear Emerald (PANNA)

Day-Time: Emerald should be worn on the small finger of the right hand on Wednesday between 6:15 AM to 9:00 AM or 4:40 PM to 6:00 PM.

Metal: Gold or Silver should be the first choice of metal that should be used for an Emerald ring or pendant. Silver with a gold cap can also be considered.

Weight: Ideally, the minimum weight of the Panna which should be worn is calculated according to your body weight. (15 – 18 kgs of body weight denotes 1 carat).

How to Wear: After the ring, pendant, or relevant jewelry is prepared, the procedure to wear it should be followed as below:

The Emerald represents Lord Ganesha, and to receive maximum benefits, your Emerald gemstone should have gone through the Pran Pratishtha procedure, which includes East or North facing on an auspicious day (preferably Wednesday) and nakshatra for performing pooja. Wash the gemstone with Gangaajal, Kumkum, and Sandal and afterward place it on the thaal along with green grass. After lighting an incense stick in front of the gemstone, chant the mantra “Om Bram Breem Broum Sah Budhaya Namah” (ऊँ ब्रां ब्रीं ब्रौं सः बुधाय नमः) to create live energy inside the stone. Place the ring in a metal bowl. Add gangaajal, raw cow milk, honey, tulsi leaves, and ghee. Recite “Om Bram Breem Broum Sah Budhaya Namah” (ऊँ ब्रां ब्रीं ब्रौं सः बुधाय नमः) and immediately remove the ring, clean it with salty water and wear it on the working hand small finger.
